The first graph visualizes the well-worn Mayo PBC survival data. The x-axis is follow-up years, the y-axis is the covariate scale (age, edema, bili, albumin, or protime). Blue dot = death, hollow dot = censored. The second graph shows the cumulative hazard (gray; Nelson-Aalen estimator) and hazard rate (orange; kernel-smoothed N-A estimator) calculated using the points within the gray box in the first graph.
Click the red buttons to change the marker (y-axis). Move your cursor over scatterplot to change the window size. Click anywhere in scatterplot to freeze/unfreeze the gray box.
